Northumberland County Rescue Squad is a Volunteer Non-Profit Organization  established in Reedville, VA in 1964. In 1993 a second Squad Station was established in Burgess, VA. Then in 2019, members added an addition to the Burgess Station which is now the sole location. The station has two ambulances 77 & 78. NCRS Members are dispatched by Northumberland Sheriff's Department, a crew then responds to the Patient's location. A crew usually consists of a Driver, a Third, and an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic. Our Members donate their time to help those in need here in our Community day and night (24/7). We are thankful for all of our members!  NCRS has been providing service to our community for 60 years!

"We have a lot of respect for our fellow members of the Fairfields and Callao Fire Departments, the Northumberland Sheriff's Office and Northumberland Emergency Services. Together we work as a team providing mutual aid for one another when needed."

"Volunteers aren't paid because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!"
